Micah Weir, MD

Micah Weir, MD is a board certified Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist. They received their Medical degree in 1999 from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Medical School. Following an internship in Internal Medicine at UMKC, they completed their Diagnostic Radiology residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City (Columbia University). They were Chief Resident during their third year of residency. They then completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at INOVA Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA. They subsequently earned a certificate of advanced qualifications in Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Weir was in a busy private practice in Dallas, TX until 2009 when they came to work with L&M Radiology. They are a partner in L&M Radiology. They are also the Radiology representative to the Lawrence General Hospital Cancer Committee. Dr. Weir is a member of the busy Interventional Radiology section at Lawrence General Hospital, as well as performing their regular duties as a Diagnostic Radiologist.

Dr. Weir has special interests in pelvic pain diagnosis and treatment, dialysis access and access management, oncology diagnosis and image guided treatment, head and neck imaging and biopsy, and radiation safety. Dr. Weir is proficient in image-guided procedures. In their role as a diagnostic imager, they interpret most modalities with proficiency.

Dr. Weir is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, and the American Roentgen Ray Society. Dr. Weir has participated in several research projects throughout their career, and has authored several papers and articles regarding a device for radiation safety for the Interventional Suite.
